Bought a Savage rifle on Oct. 31. Was defective. Brought it back the following day. Gun mgr. said it had to go back to Savage, took info and said will call when Savage returns it. Couldn't estimate how long it woud take.
I appreciate box store operates according to manual but inability/unwillingness to assist the customer is discouraging. Couldn't recommend the gun department at Fleet.
Dec 19 called and spoke to mgr. Said not back. We'll call when it comes back. Could you check with them? No way to do that. It'll come back and we'll call.
About month later having heard nothing, went in to store. Was told we will call you when it comes back. No further info available. If you never call me should I just keep waiting forever? We'll call.
I called Savage in Mass. Helpful guy took ser# and promptly told me it was rec'd by Savage in mid Nov, was repaired and returned to Fleet Farm who rec'd it about a week ago.
They have all my chicken supply needs but not the boot my wanted.
Big store with ton of stuff. Perfect if you like camo....only downsize was that when it was really busy, there wasn't much room for the people waiting on line. Otherwise the store is perfectly normal.
Called Fleet Farm back, got same answer from different clerk. Not here, we'll call when it is. Told him what Savage said. He looked more....Oh, here it is.
